Forward Looking

Have you been betrayed by your past? And you’re left wondering if tomorrow holds any good? Or have you achieved so much success and you’re beginning to entertain the thought that no greater height can be attained?

Have you recorded so much ups and downs which has now left you in doubt of a better tomorrow? Is there any reason for which you’ve settled for mediocrity, thinking you’re not any better than your past?

Have you been hurt so bad that you think you can’t offer anything to the world? Has life battered you so much that you feel shame all around?

Have you wronged a lot of people and it has caused a set back in such people’s lives, that you walk around with guilt? Or have you been so wronged that you go about with so much hatred?

Are you tired of failing in your endeavors, that you have decided to quit trying? Or is complacency beginning to take its toll on you, thus rubbing you of many more grounds you ought to cover?

If the answer to any of the aforementioned is yes, kindly journey with me as we look to learning the way out.

“Forget what happened long ago [or recently]! Don’t think about the past…” [Isa. 43:18]

Your first line of action should be to forget about the things of the past. Let the past live in the past, dwell in the present and project into the future.

You should focus more on the higher calling and the brighter picture that lies ahead of you. Regardless of what the past has presented to you, there is a more glorious future ahead of you. Hence, you cannot afford to give up.

There is more to focus on, there are more grounds to cover, there are more lives to reach out to and bless, there are more exploits to do in and for the Kingdom. All you need do is look forward unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your Faith. You have to surrender the victories, failures, hurts, pains, troubles and all that is deterring you from staying focused at the feet of Christ, so that He can guide you through the way.

“I am creating something new…” says the Lord, “…There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.” Isa. 43:19

God has made wonderful provisions ahead of you, so you have to be prepared to forge ahead to enjoy these provisions. God’s thoughts towards you are of good and to bring you to an expected end. So, be not dismayed by what you have gone through in the past rather be focused on the great things that lie ahead of you.

Hold steadfastly onto the Lord and allow Him lead you to the expected end He has for you. Shalom!!!
